Furniture given away to Edappally Railway Station

GCDA chairman N Venugopal on Tuesday inaugurated the function held to mark the distribution of furniture to the waiting room of the Edappally Railway Station by Amritha Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS).

Venugopal gave away the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to Rajesh Agarwal, Southern Railway divisional manager.

In his inaugural address, Venugopal said AIMS had an impeccable record of social service. He added that the GCDA was taking special initiatives to modernise the railway infrastructure in the city. “Facilities like escalator to help the differently abled people will be installed at Ernakulam South station shortly,” he said.

Dr Prem Nair, medical director, AIMS, V N Sarojini, Payas Joseph, Mahesh Kumar, corporation councilors and Dr Prathapan Nair, principal, Amritha School of Medicine spoke.
