The in-camera trial of the Mattannur sex scandal case began at Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court on Tuesday.
The victim and the accused persons were quizzed by the court.
The accused are Soja James, Kalloorkadu, P B Deepak alias Deepu Pottakkuzhi, Zachariya of Alappuzha, Sekhar, a Central Government employee in Andaman and Nicobar islands, James of Edathatta and Siraj of Chanthiroor.
The victim had requested the court for speedy completion of the trial to enable her to continue studies.
The court asked the prosecution to complete the trial by June-end.
