The Residents Association Coordinator Council (RACCO) has come up  against the National Highway Authority of India Limited (NHAI) for delaying the sanction for the civil works on the NH stretch between Aluva and Edappally.

Protesting against the NHAI’s decision to give sanction for the civil works only after ensuring two additional lanes along the stretch, the office bearers said  the move by NHAI is anti-people and will delay the Kochi Metro Rail project. “NHAI is trying to introduce new rules for Kerala. We even doubt that they are trying to sabotage the Kochi metro rail, one of the prestigious projects,” alleged Eloor Gopinath, district secretary, RACCO.
