The Nehru Yuva Kendra, in association with Youth Hostel and Forest Department, on Thursday held a one-day monsoon rain camp at Mangalavanam bird sanctuary here. Deputy Mayor B Bhadra inaugurated the camp. “Mangalavanam should be preserved as the heartland of the metro city,” she said. She urged the authorities to be vigilant to preserve Mangalavanam. Poet and writer P K Shankaranarayanan took classes.
