Parking still 'unaffected' on Canal Road

The police may not be able to put an end to unauthorised parking on the Canal Road even if they run out of the entire notice in their stock.  Parking on Canal Road, Kaloor, seems to be ‘unaffected’ even after frequent     inspection by the police squad as vehicles were seen parked on both sides of the road on Friday too.

During the last two days, police had intensified monitoring in the area.  “Police squad has been visiting the area frequently for the past few days. It will be continue in coming days too,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police P P Shams.  He added that the vehicle owners who have received notices during the previous days have started paying fine at station.  Though the road which leads to the Judges Avenue that connects to the road to Lissie Hospital has has a moderate width, it is always seen congested.

Vehicles, mostly four-wheelers are parked on both sides making manoeuvring through this way difficult even for a two-wheelers.
