Leaking roof brings train to a halt

The New Delhi-bound Kerala Express was held up at the Ernakulam junction station for over an hour after passengers complained of leaking roof in S-12 coach.  Furious passengers alerted railway officials at the station who sent staff to determine the situation.

The passengers said they would not allow the train to depart from the station if the authorities won’t fix the problem.  The leak was then sealed by the staff using adhesive.

The train, which arrived at the station at 3.50 pm, departed at 5 pm.

In another incident, the Ernakulam-Kayamkulam passenger train was held for 15-20 minutes near Aroor due to an alert.
