Several programmes will be held as part of Women’s day celebrations on Friday in the city. Justice V R Krishna Iyer will inaugurate a march organised by ‘Thennal’, the state committee of the women’s protection council, at 10.30 am.
A painting exhibition by the DTPC and the Image Education Institute will be held at the Marine Drive Musical walkway from 2 pm to 5 pm. Discussions on ‘Women and Society’ will be organised by the Hill Palace Jana Maithri station at 3 pm. Students, teachers, parents and social activists will participate in the discussions. Judicial First Class magistrate G Chandrashekhar will inaugurate the women’s day celebrations at the Chelad B R C Centre in Muvattapuzha at 10.30 am.
