Album 'Moksha' a tribute to Mumtaz Ali

‘Moksha’, a music album, which is a tribute to Mumtaz Ali, founder of Satsang Foundation, would be released on Wednesday at a function to be held at BTH Sarovaram Hotel. Mumtaz Ali, popularly known as Sri M, would be the guest of honour, while veteran journalist Leele Menon would be the chief guest. Playback singer G Venugopal and technicians behind the endeavour would be present.

“Sri M is a crusader for inter-religious harmony. The Satsang Foundation currently runs two schools for over 90 children living in rural areas of Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. I am a true devotee of M and this album is my tribute to him,” said Sajini Jacob, who produced the album.

There are nine songs in the album, including  Adi Shankaracharya’s Vedasara Shiva Stotram. Madhu Vasudevan and K Rajagopal are the lyricists and Gireesh Kumar is the music director. The songs are rendered by Vani Jayaram, G Venugopal, Unnikrishnan, Jyotsna, Chandri Bhattacharya and Ajay Satyan.
