No trip to Kerala will be complete without a ride through the backwaters. Rightfully, Bahrain crown prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and delegates enjoyed the plush beauty of Kochi's backwaters for over three hours on Monday.
The prince was served traditional Kerala and Indian cuisine.
“The menu included the famous Kozhikode mutton biriyani, fried lake fish, prawns roast and kebabs,” said M A Rasheed, executive chef, Taj Vivanta.
He added that the prince relished the flavour-rich Kozhikode biriyani.
“The prince was accorded a traditional welcome and seemed pleased with everything,” Rasheed said.
An air-conditioned boat was specially arranged for the prince who toured many spots that are usually prohibited for tourists.
Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and the delegates were accompanied by NRI businessmen Yousuf Ali and Ravi Pillai.
