Francis J Pynadathu, former grama panchayat president Karukutty, has come out with a master plan to solve the long-standing traffic-block at Angamaly junction.
Angamaly town is the meeting point of MC Road and NH-47 and the length of which is considered to be 800 mts.
According to Francis, normally 15-30 minutes taken by a vehicle to cross this distance. Vehicles coming from different directions to the national highway create the traffic block. In his plan Francis stated that the crossing of the vehicles to both the sides in front of the TB junction, KSRTC bus stand, the signal junction and the Basilica Church junction must be avoided and the traffic flow from these junctions should be controlled by using U-turn and round-about facilities.
