Land grab charges denied

Refuting the charges levelled against it, Trinity Builders and Developers, Aluva, has stated that the company did not make any attempts to grab land on the banks of the Periyar.

“It is true that Trinity had built the project Periyar Sands on the banks of Periyar. But the complex was handed over to the Trinity Periyar Sands Owners’ Association long back,” said a statement issued by Kuruvilla Joseph, deputy general manager (Projects and HR), Trinity Builders and Developers.

“The affairs of the apartment complex are entirely managed by the owners’ association and the company has nothing to do with the alleged attempt to grab the ‘purampoke’ land,” the statement added.

Earlier there were reports about an alleged attempt to grab land on the banks of the Periyar.

It was also reported by sections of the media that the attempt was thwarted by members of the Hindu Aikya Vedi.
