Get ready to take part in Premier League Quiz

The ‘Smart India Premier League’, an online international quiz show hosted by Smart India, a mission of Bharat Sevak Samaj (BSS), started the other day. The league was launched by Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes A P Anil Kumar at a programme held in Hotel Classic Avenue in Thiruvananthapuram.

The quiz reality show has already received a huge response, with a good number of students registering themselves for the event. The students registered with Smart India in category 1, 2 and 3 and others irrespective of their age can participate in general category. The free registration will be on till August.

A good number of the registered participants are from abroad and several are from across India and Kerala. The participants will get 20 minutes to complete the entire process. Winners will be selected by a jury panel based on the maximum questions answered by each team in 5 minutes.

“The online show till September will be district-wise and it is in October that the real premier league begins. As of now, we have decided to select 16 teams from the district-level,” said Smart India National Coordinator Suresh S. “The Smart India Premier League show runs up to December,” he added.

As much as Rs 5 lakh will be given to the winners and a good amount to those placed second and also those reaching the semi-finals. The cash awards will be presented at the valedictory function of the show.

“We are overwhelmed by the tremendous response from across India and also abroad to the online quiz show hosted by the Smart India Group,” said Smart India Premier League Executive Director B S Chandra Mohan. “This is a unique event combining the best of everything,” he said. “It is going to be a great online contest, testing the knowledge of the participants even as it will be providing an exciting time to all those waiting for the show to begin,” said Minister Anil Kumar.
