Night shelter: Labourers told to clear out

The police on Wednesday served a warning to a group of migrant labourers who were using a shop front in Kaloor as night shelter.  The police took action based on the complaint by the shop owner that the people were camping in front of the store during night and obstructing the way to his store. The shopkeeper had also alleged that his business was getting affected due to their squabbles. ‘Express’ had earlier reported that migrants who dwell on pavements are becoming a nuisance to the public. More than 50 migrants are still camping in the area.
