Students in the city shine in CBSE Class XII exams

Schools in the city excelled this year in the CBSE Class XII examinations, with a majority of them securing cent percent success according to results declared on Tuesday.

Schools including Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Nava Nirman Public School, Vidyodaya Public School, Cochin Refineries School and Green Valley Public School secured cent per cent results.

Meanwhile, it was a double victory for schools which have secured cent percent success in both  Class XII as well as Class X exams. The results of Class X exams were announced the other day.

The  schools that have scored cent per cent in both the exams include Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sacred Heart Public School, Choice School, Mar Thoma Public School, Vidyadhiraja Vidyabhavan, Campion School, Delta Study, Greets Public School, SBOA Public School, Jama-ath Residential School, Gregorian Public School and Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Tripunithura.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan continued its success saga this year too with 66 Class XII students securing  A1 in all subjects and 498 passing with distinction from its six schools across the city. Shiva Prasad S, from Thrikakara Bhavan’s tops the list with 98.8 per cent marks. In Kendriya Vidyalaya, 14 students have obtained A1 in all subjects in Class XII. Number of Class XII students who scored A1 in all subjects in other schools are as follows- Campion School: 28, Choice Public School: 12, Chinmaya Vidyalaya: 8, Gregorian Public School: 7, Navanirman School: 7, Greets Public School: 6, SBOA: 6 and Delta Study: 2. In Vidyodaya  Public School, 155 out of the 158 Class XII students passed with a distinction.

Students from the city also excelled in the CBSE Class X results. Among the students who wrote Class X exams at Choice School, 36 students scored A1 in all subjects. The number of A1 scorers from other Schools include- 28 from Campion, 22 from Gregorian Public School, Eight from Greets Public School, Six from  SBOA, Four from Delta Study and 21 from  Mar Thoma Public School.
