Ezhuthachan Award goes to M K Sanu

Noted critic M K Sanu has won this year’s Ezhuthachan Award, the highest literary prize instituted by the State Government. The award consists of `1.5 lakh, a citation and memento.

Noted critic M K Sanu has won this year’s Ezhuthachan Award, the highest literary prize instituted by the State Government. The award consists of Rs 1.5 lakh, a citation and memento.

 “I felt honoured to be selected for an award in the name of Ezhuthachan, a poet whom I consider as God among Malayalam poets,” Sanu later said here.

“Sanu is one writer who brought the beauty of criticism in Malayalam and rejuvenated the language. He is truly a Acharya who developed a new literary culture,” said Minister for Cultural Affairs K C Joseph, announcing the award.
