Not everyone seems to be happy with the Prince’s dayout in Kochi starting from Monday.

Kochi Mayor Tony Chammany has raised his displeasure over not being informed about the visit of Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles to the city.

The Mayor said the organisers of the royal visit had kept the civic administration in the dark on the visit. “Details of the royal visit have not been shared with the local body. Also, we have not been given an opportunity to engage with the royal couple though we have significant tie-ups with the United Kingdom in several areas,” he said.

Though significant actions have been mooted between various British cities and Kochi Corporation, especially on the climate change front, the civic authorities have not been invited for a talk on these areas.
