'Women must break the shackles of glass ceiling'
“Every woman is entitled to her own respective space. The glass ceiling that conceals this acceptable option is not just a perspective issue, but rather, an actual practical constraint that women need to break through,” said Aruna Sundararajan, additional chief secretary.
She was addressing the gathering on ‘Women in Corporate World and Challenges at the Workplace’, at the curtain-raiser of the Women Managers’ Forum 2013-14’ organised by the Kerala Management Association (KMA). Sushama Srikandath, director and CEO, AVT McKormick Ingredients Pvt Ltd, in her keynote address, emphasised on how strong leadership starts with bringing together a group of people who may not have anything in common and inspiring them to achieve uncommon results.
The forum was presided over by S Rajmohan Nair, president, KMA. Parveen Hafeez, chairperson, Women Managers Forum, KMA and Lalitha Mathew, convenor, Women Managers Forum, KMA, spoke.
