The Gausia Sunni Jam Iyathul Ulama, a complete scholar council, was launched on Sunday with Kerala as its headquarters.

This is the first of its kind in the state.

International Sufi Council chairman Khutubussuman Sheikh Yousuf Sultan Shah Khadiri Chisti formally inaugurated the Gausia Sunni Jam Iyathul Ulama at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium here.

“One becomes a complete Muslim only when he joins Shariat and Thwareeqat, the indivisible parts of Islam,” said  Khutubussuman while inaugurating the Gausia Sunni Jam Iyathul Ulama.

Fasalulla Faizee Valiyora welcomed the gathering.

The function was presided over by Sheikh Sayyid Hussan Koya Thangal.

Abbas Faizee Vazhikkadav delivered the keynote address.

Haji Sheikh Nismaudden, Abduraheem Musaliya Valapuram, Haji Sheikh Ahmmed Kabeer, Abdurrasaq Sakhafi Mangalapuram and Hassan Khadiri Kayal Pattanam spoke on the occasion.
