The much-lauded Pachalam elevated roundabout which was proposed 11 years ago is now in oblivion.

Dutch students from the prestigious DELF University of Technology, The Netherlands, had submitted a plan for an elevated roundabout at Pachalam as part of their project study to The Roads and Bridges Development Corporation Kerala (RBDCK) in 2002.

They also submitted a prototype of the proposed roundabout.  Subsequently, the project study was entrusted  with the Kerala Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation (KITCO), but nothing has taken off so far.
