The Ernakulam District PYKKA Sports Meet organised by the District Sports Council will be held at Maharaja’s College Ground and Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium from Monday to Wednesday.
There will be competitions on Athletics, taekwondo, volley ball, kabaddi, Kho kho, football, judo, swimming, hockey basketball and wrestling. Only winners of the block-level contests can participate in the district-level contests for which the participants will get grace marks.
The meet which was earlier scheduled to be held from October 17 to 19 October was rescheduled to October 7 to 9 as the state-level contests are to be held at Kasargod from October 12.
“If due to any reason, the block-level meet could not be organised, block officers should conduct selection trials and select a team to be sent for the district level meet,” the organisers said in a press release.
