“Since I have gained experience from those movies, I don’t find myself new to this field,” says a confident Miraya. “And the best part is that I’m singing a western song for ‘Kelvi’ in its Tamil and Malayalam versions,” adds the charming actress.

About her singing-cum-acting career, she says, “I feel great to wear dual roles.”

You may wonder how the Bahrain-born Miraya can fit into Malayalam industry, she reveals that her parents were stationed at Chennai before they left for Bahrain. She says, “My mother is an accomplished singer and dancer from Palakkad. So I am fluent in both Malayalam and Tamil.”

In fact, her favourite actors are Mohanlal, Mammootty and Jayaram, and she says, “I have grown up watching their movies.”

Miraya’s talent was first discovered by her mother when she was three and from then she started learning Bharatanatyam as well as Kathak.
