The Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at a meeting held on Friday

The Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at a meeting held on Friday, asked the Union Government to hold detailed discussions with the representatives of the employers and the employees before notifying the implementation recommendations of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Board and the Employees State Insurance (ESI) Board to raise the ceiling on the salary of the employees for coming under the purview of the respective Acts.

KCCI Chairman E P George presided over the meeting. Vice-chairmen M P Deepak Kumar Shetty and V P Shyad, director of finance Mathew Kuruvithadam and director board members K N Marzook and K M Abdulla were present.
