Child Welfare Authorities on Sunday released anti-sand mining activist Jazeera’s children after she launched a sit-in protest in front of its office at Kakkanad in the evening.

The authority, which had taken Jazeera’s three children forcefully while she was agitating in front of industrialist Kochouseph Chittilappilly’s house a few days ago, convened an urgent meeting on Sunday night after Jazeera launched her agitation.

It decided to release the children and arranged for their immediate journey to Kakkanad.
