Stallions Award Handed Over to P I Sheik Pareeth

Stallions International Cochin Chapter presented the Stallions Award for the year 2013 to District Collector P A Sheik Pareeth for giving leadership to arts and cultural activities in the district.

Stallions International Cochin Chapter presented the Stallions Award for the year 2013 to District Collector P A Sheik Pareeth for giving leadership to arts and cultural activities in the district.

For the last three years, the District Collector had taken the effort for  recognising several people in arts and cultural fields through organising programmes. Permanent venues were also made at Durbar Hall Ground, Fort Kochi, Cherai Berach, Kakkanad Parade Ground, cinema theatre at Children Park and Bhootattankettu for organising cultural programmes.The award was presented at the valedictory function of the inter-school arts festival organised by Stallions International. Additional chief secretary M A Joseph presented the award.

The winners at the inter school arts festival are: Rajagiri HS (LP), Bhavans Adharsha Vidyalaya Kakkanad (UP) and Assissi Vidyanikethan Public School, Chembumukku (HS). The second prize winners are: Al Ameen Kaloor (LP), Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara (UP) and SDAHSS.

Kaloor and Assissi Vidyanikethan, Perumballi (HS). Stephy Scaria of Seventh Day HS is the Kalathilakam and Nikil of Bhavans Adarsha Vidyalaya received the Kalaprathibha title.

The valedictory function was attended by Corporation standing committee chairman Soumini Jain, councillor Seena Teacher, actor Urmila Unni, Malathi Menon and Stallions president Soby Sebastian and patron N Gopakumar.
