Women's Meet Held

The Residents Association Apex Council of Kerala organised a women’s meet as part of its state meet scheduled this Sunday. Inaugurating the meet, Hashim Parakkadan urged the organisation to conduct more programmes to educate women on their rights.

Speaking on the occasion, district working group president P S Bhasi said the organisation would request the state and the centre to put on fasttrack distribution of pending pensions of women and to strengthen the legal framework in order to prevent dowry death. District secretary Laafi Daniel, district vice-president Sudheerkumar and regional president K K Kaleshan spoke in the meet.

Maya Shenoy was elected as the president of the regional women’s wing of the organisation.
