Faith Foundation to Launch Mission from Kalady to Kedar

The Faith Foundation is organising a Mission from Kalady to Kedar in its effort to revive the Shankaracharya Samadhi Sthal at Kedarnath in honour of Adi Guru Shankarachaya. The journey will begin on February 14 from the birthplace of the Adi Guru Shankaracharya in Kalady.

The journey will cover 20,000 kms and will cover Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Orissa, West Bengal, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The holy soil collection will start with Vedic rituals by scholars on February 14 at 9.30 am at the Kalady Sringeri Sharada Math’s Shankara Janma Ksehtram. The  team will visit Kanchi Shankara School and collect holy soil from students.

In Kerala, the yatra will visit Guruvayoor, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kanhangad, Kasargod and Manjeshswar.

The yatra will also focus on creating awareness against the deteriorating values in society and increasing crime against women.

Chairman of the Faith Foundation Colonel Ashok said that the team will reach Kedar on June 15.
