The day of love was revelled in festive spirit by the youngsters of the city at Centre Square Mall. Right from cupid who welcomed guests at the entrance, flocks of teenagers in a tizzy waltzing to peppy music and the quintessential red balloons, beats, games and quiz sessions, it was indeed a memorable day for all those who gathered at the mall.

The celebrations presented by City Express and Centre Square Mall began in style with DJ Gilson Joseph entertaining the audience with lively music. Romantic songs, in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam, played along in the background throughout the day. By 4 pm, the events began in full swing with a flash mob performance by the students of Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology. Hundreds of boys and girls danced in unison to high-voltage music.

The theme of the event was ‘Love in Celluloid’ and an interesting game quiz session, ‘Lights camera question’ was held in connection to the theme. The youngsters were asked informative and entertaining questions based on Indian cinema.

For lovely couples who were present at the venue, ‘Romance swing photo contest’ was held where stylish duo dressed in spectacular costumes clicked their snaps and won prizes. The couples were also given a chance to ‘sing a song’ for their beloved ones and win awards. Another interesting session which was the highlight of the day was ‘Jab we met story telling competition’. Couples were given a chance to narrate their love story, and some narrations were equally hilarious and romantic. ‘Comparability test’ was another absorbing session where the wave-length of newly-weds were tested. The spirted day ended with a mesmerising ball dance were the lovey-dovey pairs swayed to romantic music.

The prizes were sponsored by Pizza Hut, Amoeba and Dreams Hotel.
