New Chevrolet Beat Launched

General Motors India launched new Chevrolet Beat in Kochi on Tuesday. The best selling car of GM in India would be available in petrol, diesel and LPG option. They are priced between `4.12 and `6.21 (ex-showroom price in Kochi).

General Motors India launched new Chevrolet Beat in Kochi on Tuesday. The best selling car of GM in India would be available in petrol, diesel and LPG option. They are priced between `4.12 and `6.21 (ex-showroom price in Kochi).

The new Chevrolet Beat is designed with new chrome-accentuated front grille  which highlight the upgraded exterior of the car. The car has been provided with new clear glass headlamps. The tail lamps  sport combination of coloured and clear glass. Chevrolet also has come up with trendy new fog lamps. The Beat would be available in Super Red, Cocktail Green, Sandrift Grey, Switch Blade Silver, Summit White, Misty Lake, Linen Beige and Caviar Black colours.

The Beat has an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 25.44 for the diesel engine, 18.6 km/l for petrol and 13.3 km/l for the LPG engine.

Beat Petrol is powered by 4 Cylinder 1,199 cc in-line DOHC engine producing 80.5 PS@6200 RPM power and 108 NM @ 4400 rpm torque. Beat Diesel carries an 3 Cylinder 936 cc in-line TCIC engine. It produce 58.5 PS @ 4000 rpm power and 150 NM @ 1750 rpm torque.  The LPG engine carries 4 Cylinder in-line DOHC, 1199 cc engine producing 80.04 PS @ 6400 rpm power and  104 @ 4400  rpm torque.

P Balendran, vice-president, General Motors India said they have full  confidence over new Beat which was rolled out with new aggressive styling and new features. He said that new Beat will with stand the competition faced in the segment.
