The Cheranalloor police have registered a case against the creator of a Facebook profile to malign Mata Amritanandamayi, Amrita Institute and and Mata Amritanandamayi Ashram through the social networking website. The case was filed against Eldo Kurian RN on Saturday under the IT Act, following a complaint by the marketing head of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Babu Menon. “The details have already been forwarded to the cyber cell and the investigation is on,” police said. According to the complaint, the posts on the profile were deliberately intended to malign Mata Amritanandamayi and the institutions associated with her.
