Stiff Battles Ahead

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies, (NUALS) is hosting its fifth edition of their cultural festival NAALAM on March 2 and 3. More than 3000 students are expected to participate. Some of the competitions that will take place include ‘Mudra’, a group dance, ‘Aarohi’, the battle of rock bands, ‘Roopaka’, the spot dancing competition, and an eye-catching fashion show called ‘Alankara’. Then there will be ‘Bodhi’,  a quiz, apart from a gaming competition, ‘Kurukshetra’. There will also be a personality competition called ‘Vyaktitva’.

The best of the best, Mr and Ms NAALAM will be selected based on their skills on and off the stage.

‘Pulsadeus’ is the battle of the Djs,  the first of its kind in Kerala. There will be aspiring disc jockeys from all over the country battling it out in front of a live crowd.

Then there is Liberos, the threes football tournament, in which teams from all over the state will fight it out in the shortest and most energetic form of the world’s most beautiful game. ‘Drishya’, the online photography contest, is for those who see the world through a lens.

‘Vagyudha’, the literary competition, offers three different stages on which you can perform and let the world know that creativity is not a dying art.

‘Nidhi’, the treasure hunt promises its participants the chance to emulate Indiana Jones, decipher clues and set out on a journey which promises a happy ending.

One added attraction is that the premier stunting group in the country, the Ghost Ryderz, will be performing on March 2.
