K N Rajendran Passes Away

Musician and violonist K N Rajendran passed away on Tuesday. Rajendran had composed music for over 1,000 Christian devotional songs and several other film songs.

Musician and violonist K N Rajendran passed away on Tuesday. Rajendran had composed music for over 1,000 Christian devotional songs and several other film songs.

The funeral was conducted on Tuesday.Four years ago, he completed the eight grade in violin from Trinity College in London.This November, he passed ATSL from Trinity College with distinction.

The significance of his achivement can be gauged from the fact that only a few from India have managed to pass ATSL and Rajendran was the first from Kerala.

A student of violinist Rex Isac, he was also a violin teacher for the past 25 years at the Cochin Arts and Communications here. Singers Biju Narayanan, Minmini and George Peter condoled the death.
