Bhai Nazeer's Accomplices Held

The shadow police and central police have jointly arrested four persons reported to be accomplices of gang leader Bhai Nazeer.

The shadow police and central police have jointly arrested four persons reported to be accomplices of gang leader Bhai Nazeer.

The arrested were identified as Shaiju Joseph, 27, of Yordhanapuram near Puthiyekkara; Amal C Sabu ,19; Vipin Lonachan, 24, of Puthiyekkara; and Rixon of Matoor.

They were found sitting in a car on Foreshore Road in the city.  The police recovered weapons from the car, including an iron rod, a sand kit, broad duct tapes, belts and iron blocks. The police had arrested Bhai Nazeer recently in Mysore under the Kerala Antisocial Activities (Prevention) Act (KAPA).

According to the police, they were allegedly planning to attack a person.

Rikson and Shaiju are accused in cases registered at Nedumbassery and Kalady police stations. The police team included Special Branch Assistant Commissioner Mathew Excel, Shadow Police SI A Ananthalal, Central SI Vimal, ASIs Nithyanandan and Eldo, senior CPO Jabbar, and Shadow policemen Antony, Ranjith, Sanu Vishal and Santhosh.
