The silver jubilee celebrations of Campion School, Edappally, was inaugurated by Fisheries and Ports Minister K Babu. Inaugurating the celebrations, the Minister said this educational entrepreneurship of 25 years yielded dividends to the society not just in terms of quantity but in terms of quality of the highest order. Campion Education Society director K V Thomas, in his keynote address, spoke about the school and its silver jubilee year programmes.
Leelamma Thomas, principal, Campion School, gave an account of the 25 years of this school’s existence and growth. She recounted the humble beginning of the institution, the challenges it overcame enroute, the ideas and ideals it materialised in its journey and the achievements it garnered over the years.
The principal noted that this school began on June, 6, 1989 with just nine students had grown to a full fledged school of 2,500 students. She expressed her gratitude to all those who were partners in their progress. A visual treat titled ‘Down Memory Lane’ was screened at the venue. The slide show offered glimpses of the past 25 years of the school.
K Padmakumar, additional director-general of police, released the Jubilee Logo. A Ramachandran, director, School of Industrial Fisheries, released the Jubilee Brag.
Cine actor Rima Kallingal, offered felicitations and distributed trophies to the Best Campions, School Toppers of AISSCE examination 2013 and special achievers.
