Ornamentals Kerala From Today

Ornamentals Kerala-2014, an International Seminar on Ornamental Fish  Breeding, Farming and Trade, organised by the Department of Fisheries in association with the Union Ministry of Agriculture and State Fisheries Resource Management Society (FIRMA) will begin on Saturday.

Ornamentals Kerala-2014, an International Seminar on Ornamental Fish  Breeding, Farming and Trade, organised by the Department of Fisheries in association with the Union Ministry of Agriculture and State Fisheries Resource Management Society (FIRMA) will begin on Saturday.

Union Minister of State for Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, K V Thomas will inaugurate the seminar at the venue set up at Marine Drive. Fisheries Minister K Babu will preside over the meet.

Sri Lanka Minister for Fisheries and Aquatic Resource Development Rajitha Senaratne will be the chief guest.

Kerala State Planning Board vice chairman K M Chandrashekhar will deliver special address. Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA) Chairperson Leena Nair will deliver keynote address.

The seminar is being held at  Hotel  Bolgatty Palace from 26th Sunday to 28th. Experts from Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Australia and India will deliver lectures in the five sessions.
