A man was killed and his wife injured when a speeding private bus hit their car here at Vazhakkulam on Sunday evening. The deceased is B P Chackochan, 58, of Vettiyanikkal house, Mullapuzhachal, Vazhakkulam.
The mishap occurred around 4 pm when the duo were returning from Thodupuzha to their house at Vazhakkulam. The bus, which was moving in the opposite direction, collided with the car. Though Chackochan was rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
