Mulavukkad Land Owners Association members have raised the demand for alteration of the paddy field conservation law in farming fields which have not been cultivated for last 20 years. In a press release, it was stated that several paddy fields near Vallarpadam ICCT and Vallarpadam-Kalamassery NH remain unused due to saline water content in these fields. It was said that by bringing changes in the law, development activities can be carried out in the area.
