ALUVA: The stalled work at the Muttom coach maintenance yard at Aluva is likely to resume on Monday, informed DMRC officials here on Sunday. “Though it has not been confirmed yet, the work might resume tomorrow,” the officials said.
Officials of Shilpa Construction, the contracting agency, also expressed hope that the work would be resumed on Monday.
“We have been directed to resume normal operations on Monday, and not to let protests sidetrack the activities. If the works at the yard are not completed within the stipulated time, the Metro construction could be delayed significantly,” DMRC officials said. The construction works at the Muttom yard were halted recently, following protests by activists of the BMS.
