Chinmaya Kids Participate in 'Clean Kochi'

KOCHI: The ‘Clean Kochi Programme’, organised by the Kochi Corporation, was initiated on Wednesday by the NSS unit and students of Chinmaya Vidyapeet, Ernakulam, along with the members of Illom Road and Diwan’s Road Residents Associations.

The event was inaugurated by Deputy Mayor B Bhadra at the Gandhi Statue, Jose junction. 

Principal T N Ramakumar, Health Officer Madhu, secretary of Diwan’s Road Association Remyapriya, secretary of Illam Road Association Hariharan and the president and secretary of Ernakulam Karayogam took part.

The students, armed with shovels, rakes and sickles, cleaned the roads from Jose junction to Foreshore Road, including Diwan’s Road, Lakshmi Hospital Road and Warriam Road.
