Joel, Antony win Aqua Regia City final

KOCHI: Time organised the City final of Aqua Regia 2014 - the biggest national science quiz in Kochi.

About 40,000 students from classes VIII, IX and X of more than 180 schools participated in the preliminary round. The shortlisted 1,000 students participated in the final of Kochi edition held at Kerala Fine Arts Hall.

Teams from Toc H Public school - Joel Hamilton and Antony David  emerged as the Kochi City Winners.

Devika N and Mathews Boban of Saraswathi Vidyanikethan were the first runners-up. Siddharth Suresh and Adarsh Dharmadevan of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor, emerged as the second runners-up.

The Ernakulam City final was followed by the Kerala Regional final. Devika N and Mathews Boban of Saraswati Vidyanikethan won the Regional final. They will represent Kerala region at the National finals in Hyderabad.  The National Final of Aqua Regia 2014 is slated to be held in Hyderabad on December 2.

The quiz has gained its entry in the Limca Book of records too.
