Two Army Men Arrested for Harassment

KOCHI: The Railway Police on Monday arrested two Army men at the Thrissur railway station on charges of harassing women and children onboard the Kerala Express.

Anil Kumar, 30, was arrested when the train arrived at the station around 7.45 am. As the Thrissur railway police could not arrest Lenin, another jawan and Anil Kumar’s accomplice, they alerted the Aluva railway police.

Subsequently, the Aluva railway police arrested Lenin and brought him to the Thrissur railway station, were a case of harassment was registered against him.

The complaint was filed by a woman who was part of a 40-member group, comprising men, women and children, travelling from Delhi to Kerala.

According to the police, the complainant alleged that the Army men harassed two child artists onboard the train throughout the journey, who were returning home after performing at the National Drama Festival in Delhi.  They had filed complaints at the Vijayawada railway station also.
