Locopilot Suspended

KOCHI:  A locopilot of the Ernakulam-Bangalore Express, that started off from Ernakulam Junction Station, was suspended after he skipped a signal, near Edappally Railway Station at 5.30 pm, on Wednesday.  Divisional railway manager Sunil Bajpai personally inspected the situation along with divisional safety officer.  Owing to this the train was delayed for at least an hour.

The official immediately suspended the locopilot who stated that he did not see the signal. The train could resume its journey only after another locopilot took over, causing delay to a couple of other trains along the route.
