Russian Language Study Centre Opened in City

KOCHI: A Russian Language Study Centre was opened in Kochi by the Thiruvananthapuram-based Russian Cultural Centre, in association with the Asian School of Architecture and Design Innovation. The centre was named after the great Russian author Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin.

The institute was inaugurated by Mayor Tony Chammany the other day. The Mayor said :“The relationship between India and Russia is based on history, culture and tradition. The diplomatic relationship between the people of the countries makes the alliance stronger. Language and literature are the two major links that give strength to the relationship. Kochi has entered into a twin-city relationship with the Russian city of Pyatigorsk. The tie-up is expected to further brighten the development of Kochi.”

The institute offers integrated diploma courses in ‘Russian’. For more details, contact 0484-4072003.
