KOCHI: The Corporation and the Kerala Merchants Chamber of Commerce (KMCC) will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide night life on Broadway.
The function will be held at Hotel Abad Plaza here on Tuesday.
With the signing of the MoU, the KMCC in association with the civic body will spruce up the Broadway with ornamental lamp post with lamp shade starting from Shanmugham road to Canal, surveillance cameras and arches.
Cast iron benches will be installed on either side of the Broadway.
Besides, the Broadway will be equipped with food court with mobile kiosks of various delicacies of reputed hotels.
The Broadway was once a busy shopping area but with the construction work of Kochi Metro, recession and opening of several shopping malls, the area has become a relic.
