KOCHI: A 26-year-old bike rider died after hit by a car and run over by a lorry at Container Road near Kalamassery on Monday night. The deceased is K V Pradeep, a native of Muppathadam, Aluva. Pradeep, an employee of Falkon Terminal at Kalamassery, met with the accident when he along with his friend were returning home on a bike. The accident took place at Anavathil around 11 pm when a car which lost control hit the bike from behind. In the collision, Pradeep was thrown off the bike and run over by a container lorry coming from behind.
Both were shifted to a hospital, where Pradeep was declared dead.
