KOCHI:Dr Rameez N Hussain, a consultant Vitreo retinal surgeon with Giridhar Eye Institute, Kadavanthra, Kochi received the Tamil Nadu State Conference Award for the his research on Retina at the 63rd Annual Conference of the Tamil Nadu Ophthalmic Association (TNOA) held at Madurai.
The study is related to the treatment of patches in light sensitive tissues called Macular Holes occurring in retina. Dr Rameez N Hussain said that using an advanced retina scanning technique the outcome of Macular Hole surgery could be predicted. Dr Rameez will head the Vitreo Retina Surgical Services at Orbit Health Care at Mauritius.
