KOCHI:  Here is a good news for bikers looking for a little adventure this monsoon. A plethora of challenges- winding roads, watery mud pits, hills, fields, woods and streams, is waiting for them. Find all these at the two-day Monsoon Mountain Bike Rally 2015 from Kochi to Kuttikkanam and back.

The rally organised by Glenn Tours with the support of Ernakulam District Tourism Promotion Council(DTPC) will be flagged off from the DH Grounds on August 22 and will be back on August 23 after a night’s stay at Kuttikkanam. 

According to Suhas S, Secretary, DTPC, the driving force behind the rally, it is being conducted as part of ‘VISIT KERALA’ campaign to promote adventure tourism in the state by exploring the unexplored destinations.

“The rally will cover around 40 kms of off-roads through the hilly misty mountain roads and will pass through Muvattupuzha-Thodupuzha- Muttom- Kanjar- Vagamon and will end at Kuttikkanam at around 6pm. Lunch will be served on the way. Night will be a one of camping, camaraderie, sumptuous dinner and concert at Kuttikkanam. The next day, after breakfast the rally will be back in Kochi via Elappara-Vagamon,” said Jorphey Gabriel of Glenn Tours, the Tour and Route organizers.
