Experts to Converge in City for Cyber Security Conference

KOCHI: The eighth edition of the International Cyber Security Conference (COCON) will be held at Le Meridian Hotel here on Thursday and Friday. As a curtain raiser to the international event, the Police Department will be organising a one-day workshop -- Kid Glove --  on enhancing online safety for children, at Athulya Hall in Infopark on Wednesday. Around 200 students from different schools in the city and their parents would be attending the workshop.

Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will inaugurate COCON at 4.30 pm on Thursday. Governor P Sathasivam will be the chief guest. COCON is held in association with POLCYB -The Society for the Policing of Cyberspace, Canada.

Various technical, non-technical, legal and community events are organised as part of the programme. Delegates from across the globe would be attending the conference. Representative from various security, intelligence and investigation agencies in the country and the state would also participate.
