KOCHI: A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Tuesday directed the Mahatma Gandhi University to initiate steps to appoint assistants on regular basis. The directive was issued by a Bench comprising Justice Antony Dominic and Justice Shaji P Chaly
The court also directed to issue notification inviting applications within six weeks and to complete the recruitment process within six months. The Bench, however, allowed the varsity to engage those presently serving. The court also made it clear that if the recruitment was not completed within the stipulated period, all the employees who had been retained on the basis of judgment would be terminated on expiry of their terms.
