Passengers Get A Sweet Welcome

KOCHI:Passengers who arrived at the Edappally Railway Station on Thursday were welcomed with payasams and chips in connection with the Onam celebrations conducted there.

The programme was jointly organised by the Edapally Railway Passengers Association, Edapally Development Committee and AIMS. While inaugurating the programme, Ernakulam Area Manager Rajesh Chandran said the construction work of the second platform is nearing completion and the roofing is being done with the help of AIMS.

A large pookalam was also laid at the platform by the organisers. The programme was attended by Edappally Station Master P Balachandran, Commercial Inspector Chandrasekhar, members of Edappally Railway Passengers Association, Edappally Development Committee, and others.
