26 Injured as Buses Collide

KOCHI: As many as 26 persons were injured after a private bus collided with a KSRTC bus head-on at Neriyamangalam near Kothamangalam on Saturday. According to the Oonnukal police, the accident occurred around 6:00 pm and the cause of the accident is not known yet. A police official said the injuries suffered by the passengers were minor. Meanwhile, it is reported that the cause of the accident was mis-judgement of one of the drivers in negotiating a sharp curve. The injured have been admitted to Baselios Hospital, Dharmagiri Hospital and a private hospital at Kolenchery.
